BELTON & MANTHORPE SK9339 MAIN STREET, Belton 1315-0/9/61 (East side) 21/09/79 Pump and milestone 5 metres north of Home Farmhouse (Formerly Listed as: VILLAGE STREET, Belton (East side) Milestone/drinking fountain immediately north of Home Farmhouse) II Pump and milestone in the form of an obelisk. c1820, restored C20. By Jeffry Wyatville. Ashlar obelisk on a panelled square pedestal with panelled square ahlar trough. On the front, a panel with recut lettering giving distances to Lincoln and London. At the rear, a wrought-iron bracket for the handle. One of a number of estate buildings by Wyatville for -John, first Earl Brownlow of Belton House.
