An assessment of significance was produced after a site visit and historical research into Alford Cemetery Chapel and Lodge, conducted to inform the proposed conversion of the chapel to housing. Built in c.1888, the buildings comprise an Anglican cemetery chapel with an adjacent keeper's lodge, linked by a lych gate. The buildings are constructed of a red/orange brick with stone dressings and a Welsh slate roof. {1}
