Description
A systematic metal detecting survey was conducted to inform the proposed construction of a new solar farm on land at High Barn Farm, Winceby. A small assemblage of medieval and early post-medieval artefacts was recovered from the site, including a 14th century horse harness pendant. Despite being recovered from part of the site of the Battle of Winceby, none of the artefacts could be confidently associated with the action, and no spatial concentration of finds could be detected. {1}{2}
