Description

A heritage statement was produced after a site visit and historical research into a disused footbridge at Brayford Wharf East, Lincoln, conducted to inform the bridge's proposed removal. The structure is made of riveted steel beams with wooden decking, and is thought to date to 1907. It was constructed to provide a pedestrian crossing over the River Witham, between Brayford Wharf East and the nearby Great Central Goods Depot. {1}
