Three trial trenches were excavated to inform proposed residential development on land between 61-71 Seas End Road, Surfleet. The remains of a late medieval ditch, a post-medieval ditch and a pit of unknown date were identified, with a small assemblage of medieval and later pottery, brick, animal bone fragments and clay tobacco pipe stems being recovered from the ditch fills. {1}{2}
