A site visit was conducted to investigate the hedgerows surrounding fields that border Newark Road and Boundary Lane, South Hykeham, prior to their proposed partial removal. The condition of the hedgerows was noted, as was the presence of a wood bank separating the fields from Danker Wood, an area of probable ancient woodland to the immediate south-east of the site. {1}
