Description

Archaeological watching brief monitoring trenching for a replacement water main between Lower Bitchfield Church and The Old Rectory. Two access pits were machine-excavated, one at each end of the specified length of replacement main, with the remainder of the section flow-moled. No archaeological features were exposed in the tow trenches except for a metalled surface assumed to be a post medieval road leading exclusively to the church {1} {2}
