Description
As the site was threatened with obliteration by ploughing, the Boston Archaeological Group undertook an excavation.{1} J C Mossop opened a single trench in the centre of the field. Philip Mayes with the Boston Archaeological Group explored two areas. Site A was located in the north-west corner of the field and Site B East was located to the east of Mossop's trench. Site A and B are the same areas as those investigated in the 1961 works (LI127 and LI4155). {2}
