Description

An archaeological watching brief was carried out by Archaeological Project Services in July 2007, in advance of sand extraction at the C and G Concrete Ltd quarry, North Kelsey Road, Caistor, Lincolnshire. Investigations were confined to an area measuring 65m by 45m, where prior evaluation had identified a concentration of Iron Age activity. The watching brief found significant remains relating to occupation in the 1st century BC.
