Full Description
Traces of probable prehistoric settlement activity were identified in this area in November 2014, during magnetometry survey of the Glebe Field. The survey recorded a series of linear and curvilinear magnetic anomalies, clearly defining a sub-rectangular enclosure with internal divisions and a possible circular structure. Other linear anomalies to the immediate north of the enclosure were recorded, and may represent the remains of an associated field system or stock enclosures. A number of small, amorphous anomalies were also recorded in close proximity to the enclosure, and may represent a number of pit-like features. {1}
