Full Description
The recreation ground off South Street is a war memorial in memory of the dead of the Second World War. Names of the dead are recorded on plaques on two brick pillars at the entrance The pillars support a metal archway. The pillars appear to date to the early 1950s. More recent features of the park include a junior football pitch, footpaths and a skateboard park, which were added in 2001-05, along with an obelisk added in 2006. {1}
