The war memorial at Stickney is located before St Luke's Church on the corner of Main Road and Hall Lane. Unveiled in 1920, it is a twenty foot (six metres) high vaulted obelisk made from Weldon stone which sits on a terrace of three steps. It incorporates four panels with moulded pediments. Columns and foliated capitals at each angle carry the names of the First World War and Second World War fallen. {1} Stickney War Memorial was unveiled on 26 August 1920. The memorial stands south of the church, facing the road and within the churchyard of the Church of St Luke. It is constructed of local Weldon stone in the form of a spired obelisk on a concrete platform with a square, three-stepped, stone base, with a Celtic cross on the top. Stone vases are set on the top step of the base on the southern, eastern and western sides of the memorial.
