Full Description

The footprint of this building is present on the 1906 map but not the 1887 map, which would suggest that the building was constructed in the intervening period. The building is red-brick, with large multi-level windows. It is currently used as a village hall. The new premises for the school look to date from the 1990s, therefore we can possibly assume that the conversion occurred around this time.{1}{2}{3} Records from the Lincolnshire archives state that the school was built as North Kelsey Board School in 1896 by the North Kelsey School Board, formed in 1886. It became North Kelsey Council School in 1903, and North Kelsey County School, c.1947. The school was known as North Kelsey County Primary School prior to September 1999, and then as North Kelsey Primary School. The original premises are now used as a village hall. The current title has been used since c.2003. {4}
