Full Description

The school has been modified into two private residences and is a simple, light-brick mid to late-Victorian building. There are few windows. {1} White's 1856 Directory of Lincolnshire makes no reference to the school in the village. {2} It is present on both the 1887 and the 1907 Ordnance Survey map of the village. {3}{4} Documentation from the Lincolnshire Archives states that the school was built in 1868. It was known as Thorganby National School by 1903 and as Thorganby CE School by 1908. The school was closed on 25 March 1959, with the children transferred to East Ravendale CE School. {5}
