Full Description

Holton le Clay Board School was built in 1881. The Board School closed down in 1903 and the school was taken over by the local authority. It closed in the late 20th century. {1} This Victorian school present on the 1905 map. {2} There is a date stone of 1881 on the front gable of the building, a 'school' sign above the entrance door, and the slate roof and bell cote still present on the building in 2009. In 2009 the building is under restoration and conversion, probably to residential use. {3}
