Full Description
Whilst not included in the detailed programme of historic building recording of the former farm building to the west (see PRN 58152), the former farmhouse at Netherdene Farm was briefly described in April 2017. The structure is of mid 19th century date, quite likely being built during the 1840s remodelling of the farm. It is a three-bay, two-storey building, and is built of red brick with a pitched roof of cement tiles and chimney stacks to both gables. The building appears to have been extensively re-built at some point in the past, with modern extensions and alterations including the replacement of the original windows. The building became a private residence in the 1950s, when the current farmhouse for Netherdene Farm was built a short distance to the south. {1}{2}
