Full Description

A MAJOR GROUP OF SALTERN ACTIVITY, PRODUCING BRIQUETAGE AND DOMESTIC POTTERY OF RECOGNISED MIDDLE IRON AGE STYLE. THE SPREADS OF BRIQUETAGE WERE GENERALLY C.30M IN DIAMETER, AND A NUMBER OF THEM ARE SLIGHTLY MOUNDED. AT TF 25521711 - A MOUND OF 'CLEAN' SILT WITH DARK, PEATY LINES AROUND ITS EDGE. FINDS ON AND AROUND THIS MOUND. THE SITE CONSISTS OF TWO DISTINCT CONCENTRATIONS. CONSIDERABLE BRIQUETAGE ALSO FOUND. AT TF 25491707 - FINDS LESS PROLIFIC, BUT INCLUDING 21 ANIMAL BONES AND BRIQUETAGE. AT TF 25451706 - 11 ANIMAL BONES AND BRIQUETAGE. {1}, AREA 0.07H, HTM 2.5M
