A LINEAR SALTERN WITH A DARK SOIL STAIN. AT TF 25721885 A ROMAN SALTERN SITE ENCOMPASSING AN NEAR THE IRON AGE BRIQUETAGE (23112). DARK SOIL STAIN ON A SILTY SOIL. AS WELL AS BRIQUETAGE AND POTTERY A FRAGMENT OF PUDDINGSTONE QUERN AND 11 ANIMAL BONES (SOME OF WHICH HAVE BUTCHERY MARKS) WERE FOUND. AT TF 25811891 (COW 15) - A SALTERN WITH SPARSE BRIQUETAGE, SOME LARGE FRAGMENTS, BUT NO SOILMARK. LOCATED ON A HIGH RODDON THAT IS CLAYEY, NOT THE NORMAL SILT. ALSO AT TF 25791889 (COW 16) - A MOUNDED SALTERN WITH DISTINCT BLACK SOIL STAIN TINGED BY RED BRIQUETAGE. LOCATED ON A SILTY LARGE RODDON. {1}, HTM 3M
