Full Description

Sherds of cream coloured medieval pottery were found in this location. The sherds were possibly a variant of Stamford ware, dating to the 10th-12th centuries. {1} Signs of ridge and furrow are in this field, which is bounded to the north by a bank and ditch, and partly following the line of the parish boundary. Earthworks of possible former ponds are in the north-east corner of the field. {2}{3}
