Full Description

The Old Free Grammar School which was founded in 1632, then rebuilt in 1775. The building was still utilised as a school in c.1980. {1} The Old Grammar School is a Grade II listed school, which is now in use as a private residence. It was built in the late 18th century of red brick. The building has a pantile roof with a coped gable to the left, decorated eaves, gable stacks and a central metal funnel. {2}
