42743 THE FIELD KNOWN AS SANDY KNOBBS HAS NOT ONLY REVEALED FINDS OF ANGLO SAXON DATE BUT ALSO VARIOUS FRAGMENTS OF EARLY BRONZE AGE BEAKER POTTERY. NO SIGNS OF OCCUPATION OR BURIAL WERE NOTED IN THE AREA (TF 333 730 - formerly 42563). {1}{4}{5} A COLLARED BEAKER AND SPALL OF A WELL POLISHED STONE AXE ARE IN LINCOLN CITY AND COUNTY MUSEUM. {1}{2}{3} ASSOCIATED WITH THE BRONZE AGE FINDS ON SANDY KNOBBS, AT TF 333 730, ARE VARIOUS FINDS OF NEOLITHIC DATE. THESE INCLUDE SCRAPERS, A POLISHED FLINT KNIFE, FRAGMENTS OF POLISHED STONE AXE AND A SHERD OF MORTLAKE WARE POTTERY. {1}{4}
