Full Description

Home Farmhouse is listed as a probable 18th century mud and stud cottage, with some rendered and colourwashed brick and a half hipped pantile roof. For the full description and the legal address of this listed building please refer to the appropriate List of Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest. {1} Home Farmhouse is a late 17th century, one and a half storey, timber framed house which was originally four bays in length, with a lobby entrance in the south hall. The framing is supported on a sill beam. The steeply pitched common rafter roof is half nipped at each gable. There is an 18th century alteration including the fireplace in the parlour and stair. There was a possible subdivision into two cottages in the early to mid 19th century. Late 19th to 20th century alterations include a lean-to on the east wall. {2}
