Full Description

An Acheulian handaxe found at Atterby Carrs in 1954. Now in Lincoln Museum. {1}{2} Found by a farm labourer and donated to the museum by Mrs Rudkin. Implement classified as 'probably middle Acheulian'. {2} The actual find-spot was a hummock of sand and gravel in the carr deposits by the River Ancholme.
