Full Description

Late Bronze Age gold armlet, of similar workmanship to the Rillaton gold cup, found some time before 1857, on the estate of Mr Henry Thorold at Cuxwold. It was 3.25" high, 3.75" across the wider end, and weighed more than 10 oz. {1}{2}{3}{4}{5} A drawing of the armlet was made by William Stukeley, at some time between 1758 and his death in 1765, indicating that the artefact must have been found by at least this time. {6}
