Full Description
A copper-alloy bell was possibly found in material dredged from a main drain, and found with a metal detector. It is square-mounted with protruding corner pieces and the clapper is missing, and has a loop on top to facilitate attachment. It is Roman in date and is slightly larger than another example in CCM collection (Water Tower, Lincoln 1918). This bell was donated to CCM on 1/2/83. {1}
