Full Description
The sea defence bank known as Roman Bank is actually thought to be medieval. An east to west aligned ditch of unknown width and length was identified during a watching brief on construction of a new MacDonalds restaurant. The ditch is positioned at the foot of the bank, and is thought to be related to it. {1}{2}
