Built stouter than usual, this tower mill was erected in the late 18th or early 19th century and worked until 1931. It was subsequently dismantled and the top storey was removed from the tower, which then recieved a crenellated top. It now stands empty and disused. There were four patent sails which drove three pairs of stones. There was also a two-pair hurst frame on the ground floor which could be driven by wind or steam. {1}
