A school was built in 1843, and was attended by 90 children, who paid 1 or 2 pence a week each. It appears to be the original building. {1}{2}
Two storey red brick construction in English Garden Wall Bond, under a pitched gabled slate roof. Front elevation possibly refaced, in yellow brick (Flemish Bond), half timbered second storey with herringbone brickwork infill. {3}
