Full Description
PRN 70342
A single moulded architectural fragment was recovered by the contractor (excavator driver) during the excavation of a new sewer pipe trench on Charles Street West, Carholme, Lincoln. The exact origin or the stonework was not determined (and consequently was recorded as unstratified). The stone appears to be part of a window tracery, and could have formed an element of the medieval St. Faith's church (PRN 70532) (or other sizeable medieval building) {1} {2}
