In the vicinity of Stragglethorpe, near Fulbeck Airfield, a Romano-British artefact scatter was identified in 1985. Sherds of pottery were recovered, which included five rims, six body sherds (and one decorated fragment) and four base fragments. The types were colour-coated wares and grey ware. A quern stone fragment was also identified. They were drawn at Newark Museum. {1}
