The Old School was built in 1852 and constructed in red brick with ashlar dressings. It has a slate roof with ashlar coped gables. It is single storey and has two bays. The former National School, dated 1852, is a modest, symmetrical composition with gabled porches either side of a centrally placed external chimney stack. {2}
