Full Description

Former school on Pelham Road, depicted on the 1906 Ordnance Survey County Series map. It is a long, red brick building with brick labels to the windows. It was converted to a public hall probably in the 1960s. A school for Claxby and Normanby is mentioned in White's Directory of 1856. Stell describes this building as a former Wesleyan Methodist Chapel, although this may be confused with the chapel to the south-east (see PRN 55064). {1}{2}{3}{4}{5}
