Full Description

PRN 64944 The "quite ambitious" school was built in 1874. {1} There was a schoolmaster (Rylett Thomas) in the village in 1856, although no mention is made of a school building. The education of 22 poor children of the parish was paid for by the Welby family. {2} The building is shown on the current map although it is not labelled as a school, suggesting that the school has closed and the building been converted, probably into a house. {3}
