A school is shown on the 1905 map. {1}
The school was founded in 1875 for 80 fee paying pupils, although the building is earlier and was previously used as a reading room. It appears to have still been open in 1985. {2}
The building is still shown on the current map, although it is not labelled as a school and appears to be the village post office. {3}
