The existing school building displays a date stone of 1929, and is an attractive and prominent feature of the street scene. It is considered to be of townscape interest by the Louth Conservation Area Appraisal. The 1st edition Ordnance Survey map shows a 'British School' building on the site, which was built in 1841. {1}{2}
