Full Description

Fourteen evaluation trenches were excavated by Pre-Construct Archaeological Services in 2009 prior to construction of a marina at Eastfield Rise Farm, Cherry Willingham. In the south east corner of the site in Trench One East, seven vertically set timber posts, fragments of late Bronze Age to early Iron Age pottery and animal bone were recorded. In Trench Seven, five vertically set timber posts and three horizontal posts were found along with part of a bronze sword [PRN 56424]. {1}{2}
