Full Description
A programme of historic building research and analysis was conducted for the buildings located at The Forge, Black Barn Corner, Gedney, after their demolition in 2013. The buildings comprised a two-storey, brick-built cottage with slate roof, and an attached range of outbuildings, housing the remnants of a blacksmith's forge. The exact date of the buildings is unknown, though cartographic evidence gives a date of construction sometime between 1841 and 1888. {1}
