Full Description
Walkergate Chapel was built in 1836 by the Wesleyan Association Methodists - also known as the Warrenites - to seat 300 . The chapel was enlarged in 1845, but was sold to the Baptists in 1848. The building is of red brick and has a gabled roof. It has pointed segemental window arches, with red brick cornices and window surrounds. At some point after the chapel closed, the building was converted into a garage, with heavy alterations made to the frontage and interior, most notably the installation of a large garage door. As of 2013 the building seems to be disused and is in poor condition. {1}{2}{3}{4}{5}{6}
