Full Description
Northgate Primitive Methodist chapel was built in 1820. It was rebuilt on the same site twice, first in 1836 and again in 1850. The 1850 chapel cost £1,500 and had seating for 470. A Sunday school was added in 1875. The chapel closed in 1954 and was subsequently used by Pickfords (presumably as a garage or depot, given its size) until 1976, when the building was demolished after the roof fell in. Louth Public Library now stands on the site. {1}{2}{3}{4}{5}
