Full Description

The first Wesleyan Methodist chapel in Theddlethorpe All Saints was built in 1806. It was replaced in 1855-6 when the Riverhead Road Chapel in Louth (PRN 48996) was dismantled and moved to Theddlethorpe All Saints, at a cost of £600. The number of seats was 230, significantly fewer than the 400 it was said to accomodate when in Louth. Photographs of the building show it to be of red brick with a gabled roof and some yellow brick dressings. It was known as 'St John's' after the union of the Louth Circuits in 1933. The chapel was closed in 1962 and demolished in 1969. {1}{2}{3}{4}{5}{6}
