Abstract/Summary
Report on the excavation of two trial trenches, dug to inform proposed development at 1a Castle Gate, Castle Bytham. The remains of wall foundations and a linear rubble spread were recorded. It was thought possible that the features were related to the remains of the adjacent medieval castle, although no dating evidence was recovered.

Description
The Museum Accession No. for the project archive is incorrectly given as LCNCC 2012.106 throughout much of the report. The correct accession no. is LCNCC 2013.6.
