Report on a magnetometry survey, conducted to inform proposed development on land to the south of Chestnut Drive, Louth. Magnetic anomalies clearly relating to the remains of former river channels, geological features and modern field drains were recorded, along with a small number of possible archaeological features. Subsequent trial trenching in this area confirmed that most of the recorded magnetic anomalies related to natural river channels and areas of geological variation, although a single ditch of uncertain date was recorded at the western end of the site (see ELI12949).
