Abstract/Summary
Article detailing the analysis of pollen samples, taken during the 1970s excavations at Butterbump round barrow cemetery, Willoughby. The analysis suggested a pattern of successive clearance of the original lime forest in the surrounding area from 5000 BP onwards, possibly contemporary with the construction of the barrows.
