Description
SK 87 NW FENTON MALTKILN ROAD 2/32 No.4 G.V. II House, now derelict. Late C17 with some C19 alterations. Red brick in irregular English bond with pantile roof having slightly raised brick coped gables with kneelers and single ridge stack. L-plan. 2 storey with garret having stone plinth, first floor brick band and dog tooth eaves course and gable band. The principal range is of 2 bays having a timber cross mullioned window to left and a segmental headed glazing bar sash to right. To first floor are 2 blocked window openings. The slightly later secondary cross wing has an off-centre C19 panelled door with to right a segmental headed glazing bar sash. To firt floor are 2 further similar windows. The interior has an upper room with later C17 full height softwood panelling and a stair with splat balusters. In the kitchen are moulded principal beams. The roofs are of clasped purlin construction. Listing NGR: SK8469176707
