Description
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken during groundworks for the installation of a new fuel storage area at Rock House Service Station, Scotgate, Stamford. Remains of a former building of unknown date were identified, including a floor surface, an east to west aligned limestone wall and two limestone built cisterns. Several undated dumped deposits were also recorded, though no stratified finds were recovered. {1}{2}
