Full Description
A single, large pit of unknown date was identified in this area in April 2007, during archaeological monitoring on land adjacent to 193 Belton Lane. Whilst no dateable material was recovered, a fragment of horse scapula bone was identified in the pit's fill, suggesting the feature may have been dug for the burial of an animal, and possibly related to the site's former use as a paddock. {1}{2}
