Full Description

A Wesleyan Methodist chapel, said to have been built in 1812 and replaced by the Abbey Road chapel (see PRN 38141) in 1839. {1}{2}{3} The former chapel is depicted on the 1st edition Ordnance Survey 6 inch map, set slightly back from the front of Abbey Road. The new chapel of 1839 adjoins it, directly to the south. The chapel continues to be depicted on Ordnance Survey maps until the 1950s, by which point, it has been demolished, and a new hall built in its place. {4}{5}
