Abstract/Summary
Archive for the excavation of a single trial trench, dug to inform the proposed construction of a new lift pit on land at 1-3 Friars Lane, Lincoln. The trenching confirmed the presence of medieval and early post-medieval made-ground and midden layers on the site, at approximately 1.5m depth. Late 19th century development had caused significant truncation and disturbance of the layers in this part of the site, however, and no significant earlier finds were recovered.
